The heavier pan sinks and the lighter one rises, so the child answers by reading the tilt. Even the two pans out and the bell rings.

Read the scale: the heavier side always sinks lower, the lighter side rises. In "Which is heavier?" tap the pan the question asks for. In "Make it balance" press the big plus and minus buttons under the right pan until the beam is level and the bell rings. In "Find the number" pick the ball that makes both pans weigh the same. A near miss just wobbles โ€” counting numbers, a tilt arrow or a hopping number line then appear so you can work it out yourself. Tap anywhere on the scene to hear the question again.
