Mirror symmetry play: look at one side, paint its reflection on the other

🪞 Mirror Painter

A mirror-symmetry game for ages four to eight: a sparkling mirror splits the frame in two, one side holds a bright pixel picture such as a fish, a house or a kite, and the child taps squares on the other side to paint its reflection. Little ones play the picking mode and choose the correct reflection among four tiles, older kids paint square by square and even pick the right colors from a paint tray sitting right on the mirror. When the painting is done, the sample half folds across the mirror like a sheet of paper to check every square, and a perfect match brings the picture to life: the butterfly flaps its wings, the kite takes off, the house lights up, and a star is earned. Tap a wrong square and a dotted arc flies across the mirror while a voice teaches how to count squares out from the glass.

Look at the picture on one side of the mirror, then tap the squares on the other side to paint its reflection; in Colors mode, tap the paint tray sitting on the mirror to switch colors before painting. Tap a wrong square and it only wobbles: a dotted arc flies from the sample square across the mirror to the right spot, with numbered dots teaching you to count squares out from the glass. Fill every square and the sample half folds over the mirror to check the match; when it all fits, the picture comes alive and you earn a star. Tap the sample picture any time to hear the instructions again.
