A connect-the-dots game for first graders: a sheet of paper is covered with numbered dots, you tap them in counting order, 1, 2, 3, and a crayon line stretches after your finger until the last tap makes a secret picture appear and fill with color, sometimes a fish, sometimes a rocket or a pointy-eared cat. The skip-counting modes relabel the dots by 2s, 5s and 10s, just like first-grade practice. Every number is read aloud, a wrong tap only wobbles the dot, a long pause makes the next dot blink to show the way, and every finished picture earns a star.
Find blinking dot number 1 and tap it, then follow the numbers to tap dot 2, dot 3 and so on until the very last one; the crayon line draws itself with every tap. Switch to By 2, By 5 or By 10 and the dots relabel into a skip-counting sequence, and saying each number out loud before tapping helps it stick. A wrong tap just wobbles that dot, look at the numbers and try again, and if you pause for a while the right dot lights up to show the way. Connect them all and the picture gets colored in, a star is awarded, then a fresh sheet of paper appears.
