Frequently asked questions

How many tiers does the household electricity price have?
From 29 May 2025 the household tariff has 5 tiers under Decision 14/2025/QĐ-TTg, at 100 · 200 · 400 · 700 kWh thresholds; the more you use, the pricier the top portion.
Does the electricity bill include VAT?
The per-tier prices are pre-tax; the actual bill adds 8% VAT. The tool shows the amount both before and after VAT.
How do I know how many kWh I used?
Subtract the start-of-period meter reading from the end-of-period one. The tool accepts a direct kWh figure, two meter readings, or works backwards from the bill amount.
