Financial independence · retire early

🔥 FIRE Planner

Enter income, spending, savings and return to get your FIRE number, the years left to independence and whether withdrawals last to age 90. The chart follows every drag.

FIRE number = annual spending ÷ withdrawal rate (4% ⇒ 25×). Real return = (1 + nominal) ÷ (1 + inflation) − 1; every amount is in today's money, so spending needs no inflation adjustment. Coast FIRE: contributions stop at an age and compounding alone must reach the number. Barista FIRE: side income after retiring shrinks both the number and the withdrawals. The withdrawal phase assumes the same return every year; a few bad years right after retiring can drain the pot sooner (sequence-of-returns risk). A planning toy, not investment advice.
