Chronology follows mainstream chronicles and State Bank records. All 17 eras show photos of real money (Wikimedia Commons PD/CC + VietnamFinance archive — credit under each image); the Hồ-dynasty paper money alone survives in no original specimen, so its image is a reconstruction print after historical descriptions. Thái Bình Hưng Bảo (970) opened nearly ten centuries of square-holed coins — and Bảo Đại thông bảo (ended 1945) closed that chapter for the whole world.
