Vietnam divides into eight natural geographic regions, from the alpine Northwest to the sun-soaked Mekong Delta. Tap any region for its terrain, climate and defining features.

Regions follow the geography-textbook division of Vietnam's natural areas; the map is coloured by grouping the former 63 provinces, with representative new administrative units (per Resolution 202/2025) listed for each region. Temperature and rainfall figures are characteristic ranges, not single-station readings. The map always includes the Hoàng Sa and Trường Sa archipelagos.
