NEUTRINOS & FLAVOR OSCILLATION

Every second, trillions of neutrinos pass through each square centimetre of your body without leaving a trace. A neutrino born with a definite flavour is really a superposition of different mass states, so in flight it remixes and the νe, νμ, ντ ratio shifts according to L/E, the baseline divided by the energy. It is this oscillation that forces neutrinos to have mass, contrary to the original Standard Model, and it earned the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics.
